Alex Collins went to high school in Florida and got a scholarship from the University of Arkansas to play football. Collins was a very talented man and a very nice guy. I met him at the arkansas camp a few years back and he told me to keep on chasing my dreams and I will achieve them just like him.
Alex now plays for the Baltimore ravens, before the ravens he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks to play tail back then transferred to Baltimore.

I can make a connection to this person and his blog because he impacted my life just a little bit by telling me his story and what to do in order to reach my dreams. Back in august i thought i did not want to play football my senior year and then i remembered what he had told me and then i kept working hard and i broke the starting line up the first game.

In conclusion i really think this blog and this person has impacted me and i can connect to him and where he's coming from.

Growth mindset

¨A growth mindset isn’t just about effort.Perhaps the most common misconception is simply equating the growth mindset with effort. Certainly, effort is key for students’ achievement, but it’s not the only thing. Students need to try new strategies and seek input from others when they’re stuck. They need this repertoire of approaches—not just sheer effort—to learn and improve.¨ Growth effort isn´t all about effort but a lot comes with effort. growth mindset is more about achieving your goals and getting the fixed mind set. 

Growth mindset has helped me individually because back this summer when i was getting my college stuff set up i did not have all of my things ready for my future and goals. i had to get the mindset that it was time to strap down and get my stuff together and get the fixed mindset.
in conclusion Carol Dweck explained that growth mindset is not all about effort but effort plays a big role, and explained that it could boost their achievements and intelligence, said here in the text 
¨We found that students’ mindsets—how they perceive their abilities—played a key role in their motivation and achievement, and we found that if we changed students’ mindsets, we could boost their achievement. More precisely, students who believed their intelligence could be developed (a growth mindset) outperformed those who believed their intelligence was fixed (a fixed mindset).¨ 

All together growth mindset can help with intelligence and achievements as well as boost them. 

beetles

Beetles are insects that can take over your house if your not careful, if you see that you have beetles in your house you need to quickly get a hold of someone who can take care of them or yourself needs to take care of them.
Beetles will take over ones house if the house owner does not take care of them quickly. beetles can be taken care of easily by calling a termite specialist or someone who sprays and lays out poison for beetles, ants, etc.
But there is one such type of beetle that actually helps a person, more such as a farmer but still helps humans.  The asian lady beetle helps control the pest that try to take over crop,

hackers

Hackers in general need to be stopped and taken care of, hackers are getting more and more populated these days its unreal. i feel as if thats one reason we have so much terrorist stuff going on is because of hackers as well as other substances, but hackers are helping them get stuff and leaking info to terrorist.

in the article, http://theweek.com/articles/730439/have-almost-certainly-been-hacked it simply explains about hackers and what they are doing. i am here to write about my thoughts on hackers, hackers should be stopped and when we know who is hacking we need to get them and fine them or put them in jail, simple as that becuase they are somewhat breaking the law with the things they are doing.

alot of people in  the U.S have been hacked, in the article it states ¨The recent data breach at Equifax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies, exposed the personal information of more than 145 million Americans, including Social Security numbers, driver's license data, birth dates, and addresses. As many as 75 percent of U.S. adults with a credit score may have been victimized.¨
that is alot of people to be victimized by hackers and they need to be stopped. these hackers are getting away with things and leaking things that dont need to be said or leaked. 

in conclusion  its time we do something about these hackers and what all they are getting away with, its time to stop them and put them behind bars. If we dont things could get very bad, for example if we had a war plan and someone hacked into it and got it and showed it top the enemy then they would know what all we are doing and where we are and what all we have. Its time to stop the hackers

isis

Isis is a very large and terrible terrorist group that has done many bad things. Therefore that doesnt mean the U.S cant stop them, the U.S back forces have said that rappa, Isis capital has been captured.

although isis is still out there and doing terrible things i believe that the U.S can take them, it will be hard but it can be done very well. isis has been falling since last july when in the article i was reading stated  ´´With the fall of Raqqa, the Islamic State has lost the two most important cities of its self-declared caliphate in three months. It was pushed out of Mosul in July, and now holds only a fraction of the territory it once controlled.´´  
 if we take over their land and parts slowly and time by time we will knock them down and capture them, i belive it very strongly. it will take lots of hard work and commitment but we will get it done. 

In  conclusion in the article it stated “The city is in ruins; it needs time,” he said. “And it needs prospects that are beyond ours, our energy.” Just providing bread to areas retaken from the Islamic State was stretching the council’s capacity, he said.´´ 

although isis and rappa is still out there i believe we will get the job done sooner or later

man trapped in cave

Lost and alone for almost 60 hours,Mr. lukas Cavar was paired with a buddy for a reason. His buddy thought he was okay, and so did young Mr. Lukas but he quickly found out that he was lost in Sullivan Cave. Although Safety and survival procedures would have been helpful for the young man, Mr. Lukas and his buddy should have remain ed together with a group or near a group so this would not have happened.

Lukas and his buddy that he was paired with should have not gotten separated in the first place, they should have Remained together. Lukas and his group were going through a part of the cave known as the back breaker when he realized he was not enjoying it and wanted to join the other group but got lost. evidence from the text says right where he got lost and realized he was trapped inside, "He left his group and tried to meet with the other one but got lost. He made his way back to the gate at the cave’s entrance but it was locked. It was then he realized he was trapped — without food or water."

On trips like that you are paired up for a reason, and that reason is to not get lost because that very well could have been the end of his life if no one would have found him. Luckily their was a rescue crew that came to save him after his parents and others notified the college of a missing student. He was curled up by the entrance gate sleeping when he was found, he did not know where he was when he woke up and much of everything was a blur. it states that evidence in the text "Help arrived late Tuesday night. Mr. Cavar was asleep, curled up at the bottom of the entrance of a cave when the bright lights of rescuers roused him.
“It took me a while to recognize the cave and to realize where I was,” he said in an email. “But as soon as it clicked in my brain, I scrambled up the remainder of the cave as fast as I could and climbed out. The rest was a blur.” 
To conclude, i really enjoyed this article, ive never been in a situation like that nor would i ever like to be.

Recently in Kenya their has been a rare sighting of White Giraffes, it is said that there are 4 species of them in the world. it is said they were spotted near an conservation area, which means if there is a mom and a young then there has to be more.

i have found my evidence of the white giraffes from text online that states, ''A pair of elusive white giraffes has been spotted near a conservation area in Kenya." These giraffes were spotted by many people and viewed on youtube by over 225,000 people within a couple days. these rare giraffes have caught the eye of many people all around the world.

humans might think something is different about them but really its just the color, because we are used to the orangish with black spot giraffes and when people see these it catches our eyes but really nothing is wrong with them.

in conclusion the rare sighting of giraffes, caught many eyes online and for the people in kenya, they are just different color animals not differnt types of giraffes.

Thinking is good, having thoughts and enough time to develop them are good as well. I believe it's a good idea to think and have time to thoroughly take time to think.

Two hours weekly is said to be the best and most efficient time to take to think, you need to take time to think weekly without any other distractions. I have evidence from text that states my reasoning. "just thinking with no distractions for two hours a week. I think a great thinking spot for my self or my self would be in my truck or in my house, up in my room. Just because I can get peace and quietness there from everything. 
Throughout those two hours I would think about a lot of stuff, things such as weekly problems or things I'm dealing With that week. It said in the text that Einstein took two hours weekly for thinking and that's what might have lead to his brilliance. 
Maybe taking an hour or two hours a week to just sit and think would help with all of my worries or problems or school work problems or just anything in general. 

Hurricanes: T not needed

I am happy to live in Arkansas because we are not affected by hurricanes, although we get rain because of them we do not get the winds and same amount of rain. I've never been or lived in a state where hurricanes could affect me bad but I feel it for the humans and animals that do live on the coast that do get affected by them. After reading that article I learned a lot I did not know about hurricanes.

I did not know that hurricanes could drop almost 2.4 trillion gallons of water nor did I know that the wind gust could get up to over 160 mph. I found that out in the first paragraph of the article that states, "that can pack wind speeds of over 160 miles (257 kilometers) an hour and unleash more than 2.4 trillion gallons (9 trillion liters) of rain a day. " 

Hurricanes can form in the Atlantic Ocean, but also can form on the west coast as well but they are called typhoons in the west coast, and they are called cyclones when they are formed in the northern Indian Ocean and on the Bay of Bengal. I read about that in the second and third paragraph of the article where it states "These storms are called hurricanes when they develop over the Atlantic or eastern Pacific Oceans. They are cyclones when they form over the Bay of Bengal and the northern Indian Ocean, and they are typhoons when they develop in the western Pacific."
I also know now that In 2022 the first hurricane of the year will be named after my self, "Alex".

In conclusion to this message, the article about hurricanes informed me so much more about them than I had ever known. I did not know the different names of them because of where they can be formed and what the history of them was about. After reading the article though I learned a lot about hurricanes, cyclones, typhoons and tropical storms.
